Amber Miller, a Chicago-area woman, on competing in the Chicago marathon on Sunday, nearly 39 weeks pregnant. "I ran half and walked half, that's how I finished," she said. Miller, who had been running throughout her pregnancy, said she started having contractions "just randomly" during the race, but still managed to cross the finish line and grab a sandwich before heading to the hospital to give birth hours later.
Her final stats:
- Race time — 6 hrs 25 mins 50 secs (faster than her husband!)
- Baby girl, June — 7 lbs 13 oz, born at 10:29 p.m.
"I'm taking it easy today," Miller said on Monday.
